THE WILLAMETTE WETLANDS RIPARIAN ZONE

The green space above the wetlands is the proposed site of 52 new homes.

City of West Linn code requires a 100 foot buffer zone around wetland borders.

Current development draft plans call for a dramatic reduction

- even elimination, in some areas - of the wetland buffer zone.

A full protective buffer is critical to preserve this thriving ecosystem.

The Willamette Wetland area will be unrecognizable

if the City of West Linn does not respect and enforce its own development code.

This outcome is unacceptable to all who treasure this local wilderness area.

Enjoy the serenity and diversity of the wetlands; share these video with friends and neighbors!

Willamette's thriving wetland ecosystem provides crucial wildlife habitat, as seen in this

beatiful video created by supporter Chris Williams.  His work features the early morning tranquility

of the wetlands and images of wetland wildlife whose home this is.

This natural sanctuary is threatened by human development.

Enjoy and share these stunning videos, created by supporter Ahsan Ahmed,

featuring the peaceful beauty and impressive size of the Willamette Wetlands.

(The first video includes live bird song recorded in the Willamette Wetlands.)
